St Dogmaels (Llandudoch):
Located just across the River Teifi in Pembrokeshire. St Dogmaels is a historic parish which contains the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey. The parish was once well known for seine net fishing.
Cilgerran:
With a 13th Century stone castle, Cilgerran was once famous for its slate quarries and coracle fishing. Upstream from Cardigan on the Pembrokesire (S) side of the river.
Llechryd:
With a handsome stone bridge and a number of religious buildings, Llechryd was a coracle fishing and agricultural community. Located upstream of Cardigan on the Ceredigion (N) bank of the Teifi.
Llangoedmor:
Situated to the east of Cardigan, across the River Teifi in Ceredigion. This parish is closely linked to Cardigan due to its proximity and shared history.
Y Ferwig:
An agricultural community centred around a medieval church. Located W of Cardigan on a coastal spur N of the Teifi estuary.
Llantood:
Located to the south of Cardigan in Pembrokeshire, this rural parish is part of the neighboring pastoral communities.
Bridell:
Bridell is a small, rural parish located to the SE of Cardigan.
Monington:
Found further southwest of Cardigan in Pembrokeshire, this is a small rural parish.
Mwnt:
A small parish northwest of Cardigan in Ceredigion, and famed for its medieval whitewashed church.
